[One of the fillies runs right into Reki, causing him to fall down in a heap.]

[But not before that apple pie he was given flies into the air, heading straight toward Mod.]

[Mod, who had been silently ~~pleading with~~ blackmailing whatever entity was watching over this affair to provide him with some means of escape, finds his prayers answered.]

[In a rather unique fashion.]

Oh. Wonderful.

[The words are muffled from the mask of pastry and fruit filling, but a quick shake of the head disperses it all over the well-meaning ponies now offering him condolences.]

Well it's been charming but I really should find somewhere to clean myself off good day.

[You have never seen a pony run that fast.]

[Maybe never that fast, but the filly Jack is after currently is giving him a run for his money. She darts right past Mod, but Jack is not so quick in dodging around him.]

OOF!

[No matter what the untimely collision has done to Mod, Jack goes spiraling into the ground, where he moans before picking himself up again.]

What'd I- Mod? ...Are you covered in pie?

[Reki groans and tries to right himself on all four limbs. It takes a few tries, and his rump hurts from the fall.]

It never changes...

[He looks around for Jack and the other... Oh great. He's with Mod. If he could, he'd facepalm]

This is just like the school, only with ponies.

[Mod doesn't even both berating the red haired youngster for getting in his way- he just wants to get out of this mess. Being a pony was one thing, being harangued by a village full of the saps was another.]

[He shakes the worst of the pastry off.] I don't know about you but I'm forwarding a motion that we move forward. As long as forward is anyplace but here.

[Awwww, but he was making friends!]

Alright. [He gets up and shakes the dirt off himself.] Hey, Reki! Come over here! We're leaving.

Coming. Coming.

[Reki wants to leave before he's forced to take another pie.]

[At least Reki hadn't taken a pie to the face, and Jack's socializing could take a back seat as far as he was concerned- he'd had enough of this cutesy nonsense. As if his dental situation wasn't bad enough already he was fairly sure he was getting a cavity from all this.]

Keep up, unless you want to get stuck in this sugary sand-pit for the rest of your four-legged life.

[-And with that he's off. He has no idea where, precisely, just anyplace that wasn't pastel coloured and smelled like cupcakes. There's a shady looking forest right on the horizon, so he makes for that.]

[Of course he would head for the creepy forest. Not that Jack minds. Much.]

[He happily trots along after, making comments about things every now and then.]

[Reki does mind the heading toward the creepy forest and groans when it's clear they're going that direction.]

So, instead of a sugary sand-pit, we're going into a dark forest that will probably doom us...

[Brilliant idea]

Infinitely preferable, don't you think?

[Mod beams cheerily at Reki in a way that probably would have been more infuriating if he didn't still have half a pie crust stuck in his mane.

[They canter on for a while before coming to the verge of the forest. It actually looks quite impressively foreboding.]

Now this is much more like it- nothing pink in sight.

[Jack is definitely not so sure about this anymore. But he tries not to show it. Ignore those quivering pony knees, please.]

Oh, yeah, looks... a lot better. Yep. I... definitely want to go in there.

[Reki may be walking (trotting?) closer toward Jack. To make sure he doesn't get into trouble. ~~It's not like Reki is starting to feel just as nervous.~~]

And what are we going to do here? It's not like we can do a dungeon crawl.

[A what? Oh who cares it's Reki, it's not like anything that goody two-shoes says makes sense.]

Well, I can't get in the way of such foolhardy-I mean, brave enthusiasm.

[He steps to the side and waves Jack forth with a flourishing hoof.]

[Why is it so dark in here aaaaaaa!!! He takes a few steps forward and hears a noise.]

[Oh, it was just the wind. He slowly uncurls from his duck and takes a few more steps.] S-see? No problem.

[Reki takes lead and hopes that by doing that he can prevent them from running into any monsters or whatever is in this horrible place. ~~And maybe take some mental notes for some fields in the World.~~]

[Mod is chuckling with carefree abandon at Jack's 'manly' conduct at this latest adventure, following after Reki with a disdainful snort.]

Of course you don't- you haven't got a sense of humour. Come on lad, pick yourself up-

[He gives Jack a nudge as he passes.]

[No, he definitely doesn't. He quickly trots after Mod, watching the bushes and trees cautiously. What if there are monsters in here?]

You don't think any of the animals in here like to eat horses, do you?

If there are, we can offer them Mod.

[Reki is only half serious about that.]

More importantly, has anyone been paying attention to where we're going?

[He's looking around and not seeing a trail or any sign of that overly cheerful pony village.]

[Mod's laughter is only proof that he's taking the threat at seriously as Reki is making it.] Nah, too gangly and full of bile, I'd probably make them lose their appetite.

[He takes a lazy look around, not at all bothered by the lack of hospitality.]

Not really, but considering we have no idea where we are, I don't suppose that matters much.
