The Nox pinning down one terrified student is caught in the blast of leaves, leaving the young woman bewildered and shaken as its body melts into shadows. The newly-made fighter is by her side in a moment.
"Are you hurt?" There's no time to check over the damage himself. His reflexes are sharper than ever, but he can't turn his back on a hoard of enemies. There's no response, the woman blinking dazedly through blood. His breath hisses in distress and frustration--throwing out blasts of thorns is risky this close to the kids. Instead, the next blast of air carries a thick cloud of pollen, a cloud of stinging blindness and confusion left in its wake. It'll buy them time.
The woman's friend has rushed to her side, trying to get her to her feet. "How is she?" He asks again, voice tight with nerves.
"Oh, oh god, oh god it won't stop bleeding--"
"I'm fine." Her voice is shaky, but coherent. The cut is shallow across the forehead, but bleeding a lot. "I just--I can't see like this..."
"What's your name?" The friend flinches as he looks at her. It's not as if it's unwarranted. He's hit with a disconcerting awareness that he has altogether too much blinking going on for a normal amount of eyes.
"E...ElliEEK--"
He had to break eye contact in order to punch a large, batlike Nox out of the air. Physical attacks aren't the most effective, but he's got enough power in him now to catch them off guard. "All right, Ellieek." Yeah, okay, he knows that's not right, whatever. "Stay close, and guide your friend. I'll clear a path."
